PERRYSVILLE -- Mrs. Nellie Grass, 85, died Thursday afternoon in Covington Manor Nursing Center. She had been a patient for a month. Mrs. Grass had been a resident of Perrysville since 1940. She was a former resident of Rileysburg, Gessie, and East Chicago. Born Sept. 3, 1890, she was the daughter of Eli and Ida Cooper Hensley. She married Frank Harter and later married Herman J. Grass on June 20, 1935. He died Feb. 21, 1968. She is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Roy (Lillie) Vogel of Keysport, Ill., and Mrs. Daisy Joplin of Sorento, Ill.; a foster daughter, Mrs. Kenneth (Josephine) Lindsey of Ocala, Fla.; three grandsons; and several nieces and nephews. Preceding Mrs. Grass in death were a foster son, a sister and three brothers. Services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday in Bodine & Shelby Funeral Home at Covington. The Rev. Greg Curtis will officiate. Burial will be in Hicks Cemetery near Perrysville. Friends may call this evening in the funeral home.  --typed by Walt W
